International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) and the Association “Cross” invite all blind and visually impaired players of the IBSA member federations to participate in the 9th IBSA EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP in SHOWDOWN in Warsaw – Poland

Date: The competition will take place from 21th of August till 27th of August 2018.
Dates allocated for Classification of athletes: 22 and 23 of August 2018.
Place: Poland, Warsaw, Ibis Warszawa Stare Miasto (Old Town) Hotel. Address: Muranowska 2, 00-209 Warsaw, Poland.
Venue: All participants will be accommodated in the Ibis Warszawa Stare Miasto Hotel, which is located next to the picturesque gateway to Warsaw’s Old Town, 3 km from the Main Station and 12 km from Warsaw Chopin Airport. The hotel has 333 comfortable rooms with wireless Internet access. The hotel also offers the modern IBIS Kitchen restaurant and the Lounge bar. 100% non-smoking hotel. The tournament will be held in the athletic school, 500 meters from the hotel in the center of Warsaw. It features a sports hall with audience for spectators.

The entry form should be sent to the LOC email address no later than April 30, 2018.
All delegations must deposit 100% of the total cost for hotel accommodation before June 30, 2018. Travel details should be sent no later than June 30, 2018.
Prices:
Double room: €110 per person per day. For 6 days full board €660 per person.
Single room: €130 per day. For 6 days full board €780 (single rooms are available in limited number).
The price includes: accommodation and 3 meals per day (from Tuesday dinner to Monday breakfast) and transportation from and to the airport or train station in Warsaw.
IBSA Capitation Fee – €25 per athlete.
DOPING CONTROL: Regulations by the actual IBSA Anti-doping rules in collaboration with the local organisers.

Transportation:
Organizers are obliged to provide transportation from and to Warsaw Chopin Airport and Warsaw railway station without any cost for all participants. All delegations must send the flight or train details (date, time and flight or train number for arrival/departure) to the organizing committee before 30.06.2018 .
Programme:
Date of arrival: Tuesday August 21st Date of departure: Monday August 27th 2018.
August 21st arrivals, referee meeting, team leader meeting;
August 22nd – opening ceremony, classification of athletes;
August 23rd – classification of athletes;
August 24th – competition;
August 25th – competition;
August 26th – competition, prize giving and closing ceremony;
August 27th – departure of participants.
Changes in schedule may be done if necessary.
Conditions of Participation:
The championship will be played in accordance with IBSA regulations.
- Each IBSA member must have paid their membership for the respective year;
- Every athlete should be registered on ISAS with a current license for the respective year;
Classification will take place on August 22 and 23 2018.
The regulations are: (Athletes who need classification must be available on both (full) days of the classification so arrival on 21 August.)
- The IBSA Medical Diagnosis Form (MDF) must be completed in English, signed and stamped by a registered ophthalmologist in the respective country of the athlete;
- The MDF and if necessary, additional medical tests should be uploaded on to the the ISAS record of the athlete on the database at least 5-6 weeks before the classification date of the competition
Players placed first, second and third (male and female) will be awarded respectively with gold, silver and bronze medals, cups and cash prizes.
